Naghshe Jahan Square Complex
Naqsh-e Jahan, meaning ‘Pattern of the World’. Established in 1598 and is one of the world’s largest city squares, 89,600 Sqm. It houses jewels of the Safavid Empire. It is bordered by two-story arcades. Two incomparable Mosques. Also the lavishly decorated Pavilion of Ali Qapu. And finally, Qeyssariyeh gate that opens to a grand bazaar.

Chehel Sotoun Palace
The name Chehel Sotoun refers to 20 slender wooden columns. They supporting the entrance of the pavilion. And their reflection into the water fountain making it to be forty. A beautiful masterpiece. Certainly a must visit. Also listed as a cultural UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Great Hall (Throne Hall) decoration are frescoes, miniatures and ceramics. The magnificent veranda is the dominant feature of the palace. And its slender columns are over 40m tall. The roof construction materials are plane tree beams and inset with complex decorations.
Hasht Behesht Palace
Hasht Behesht, meaning ‘Eight Paradises’ was built in 1669. And has fine murals and spectacular roof. It consists of an octagonal base with a spectacular ceiling. The exterior tile work is notable for its naturalistic style.
Vank Cathedral is one of the largest and most beautiful churches in Iran. And Its construction completed in 1664. The interior is covered with fine decoration and paintings. Other things to explore at this site are a printing press. Moreover, a library established in 1884 and a museum opened in 1905.
This bridge (298 m long and 13.75 m wide) is located in the city centre. Built in 17th century and elevates pedestrian pathways from the city main river since then. Its history and structure is what makes it unique. A nice place to take photos.
